On Friday 29th March, we offer the unique opportunity to join our outstanding social event "Castle Kirchheim and the city of Augsburg". In a relaxed atmosphere you will have the chance to gather impressions of the Fugger Empire in and around Augsburg.
In the morning we will travel to castle Kirchheim to get a guided tour through this impressive building and the world famous cedar hall.
Afterwards we will continue the sightseeing program after a traditional lunch at the “Ratskeller” in Augsburg. In the beautiful city of Augsburg you will have either the opportunity to join a guided city tour through the Fugger city Augsburg (with visiting the marvellous golden hall in the city hall and the world’s oldest social settlement, the “Fuggerei”) (Alternative A) or you could visit the Jewish Museum with synagogue and the beautiful art gallery “Schäzlerpalais” with the extraordinary rococo hall (Alternative B).
After these first impressions of this outstanding Bavarian city you can amble through the city on your own for one hour.
Be sure to secure one of the limited tickets (available on first come - first serve policy) as soon as possible.

We will start from the Bundeswehr Medical Academy at 8.00 am and expect to return at approx. 5.30 pm.
Participants staying at the hotels Leopold and nearby (Fleming’s, Mercure) will be picked up at 7.30 am. Participants staying at the hotels ibis, Innside, Motel One and Rilano will meet at 7.45 am in front of the Motel One. On return, participants will be brought to the meeting points in front of hotel Leopold and Motel One.
For departure, a single transportation to the airport will be provided on Saturday, 30th March. Participants will be picked up at 9 am (Hotels Leopold and nearby) or 9.15 am (Motel One and nearby). Participants leaving by train are kindly asked to use public underground transportation to Munich Central Station (a "Zone 1" ticket is required per person).
